05035 (Safety) - Body Wiring Harness Chafing,
2003 – 2005 Chevrolet Kodiak, (4/26/05),
Condition/Concern: The wiring harness that is routed under the floor mat in the driver’s foot area may become damaged with repeated entering and exiting of the vehicle. If damage were to occur to the harness, the roof marker lights and dome lamp may become inoperative, the airbag warning light may illuminate, and there may be a driver or passenger unwanted airbag deployment while the vehicle is stationary or moving.
05051 (Safety) – Power Steering Hose Contact,
2003 – 2005 Chevrolet Kodiak, (7/1/05),
Condition/Concern: Some of these vehicles have a clearance condition in which the power steering hose may come into contact with a portion of the intermediate steering shaft. If the hose contacts the intermediate steering shaft, a hole could be worn in the hose and a loss of hydraulic fluid would occur.
06080 (Safety) – Fuel Rail Pulse Damper Clip,
2006 Chevrolet Kodiak, (10/26/06),
Condition/Concern: Some of these vehicles have a condition in which the engine fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip may fracture, resulting in inadequate retention of the damper. If the damper comes loose, a fuel leak may result and may cause a fire if an ignition source is present.
06522 (Product Emission) – Glow Plug Control Module Reprogram,
2006 Chevrolet Kodiak, (3/24/06),
Condition/Concern: Duramax Diesel engine, may have a condition in which the engine glow plugs are overstressed electronically, causing glow plug failure and engine damage in some cases.
06140 (Customer Satisfaction) – Passenger Side Wiper Pattern Change,
2006 Chevrolet Kodiak, (1/25/07),
Condition/Concern: The screws attaching the windshield wiper pivot housing to the module frame may loosen. If this were to occur, there may be a clunking noise when the wipers are operated and the wipe pattern on the passenger-side may increase or decrease.
1908438 – Information on Diesel Fuel Additives,
2007 and Prior Light Duty and Medium Duty Trucks, (2/20/07):
The use of diesel fuel additives is not required or recommended for the 6.5L diesel or the 6.6L Duramax Diesel engine under normal conditions. The filtering system is designed to block water and contaminants without the use of additives. However, some customers may desire to use fuel additives to improve the characteristics of available diesel fuels.
